Building an indigenous rocket engine test facility
Access to test infrastructure is the real bottleneck for private launch in India. So we built our own — stand, plumbing, instrumentation and safety procedure.
The bottleneck nobody talks about
Most young launch teams can design an engine. Very few can fire one whenever they want. Test slots are scarce, expensive and scheduled around someone else's programme, which quietly caps how fast a team can learn.
Owning the stand collapses the feedback loop from months to days. That single change is worth more than any individual design decision we have made.
What the facility covers
Vertical and horizontal firing configurations, propellant feed and pressurisation, remote sequencing, high-rate data acquisition, and a safety perimeter with documented abort procedure.
Everything is built to be serviced by the team that uses it — no black boxes, no dependency on an outside vendor to turn the facility around between runs.
